THE WINDSOR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HAS BEEN HONORED to AWARD MANY SCHOLARSHIPS OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS to DESERVING SENIORS IN THE WINDSOR UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WHO CONTINUED THEIR EDUCATION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION. THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE LOOKS for STUDENTS WHO HAVE AN EDUCATIONAL GOAL BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL. THIS CAN BE A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE, JUNIOR COLLEGE or CAREER COLLEGE. THE COMMITTEE ALSO CONSIDERS AS A MAJOR FACTOR IN THE SELECTION PROCESS ANY OBSTACLES or DIFFICULTIES THAT APPLICANTS HAVE OVERCOME IN THEIR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS or PRIOR. IN THE LAST FISCAL YEAR, THE WE FOUNDATION PAID to OUTSTANDING STUDENTS 21 SCHOLARSHIPS RANGING FROM $500 to $2,500, PLUS MATCHING FUNDS to WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL for TWO STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED $1,000 EACH for THE DARLENE WALLEY SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000 TOTAL), and THREE STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED A TOTAL of $2,000 (ONE $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP and TWO $500 SCHOLARSHIPS) to HONOR PHIL BERTOLI.
