What they do
Stable Hands Operated Three Seasonal Sessions On A Weekly Basis. Participants Are Ages 4 to Adult With A Wide Range of Disabilitites Including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress and Seizure Disorders. The Sessions Were Held At An Outdoor Facility On Provate Property, The Use of Which Was Donated By A Willing and Supportive Owner. Through Adaptive Horsemanship, Our Clients Increased Core Stre3ngth, Balance, Endurance, Self-esteem and Independence. Stable Hands Horses Helping Heros Program Serves Veterans Who Have Sustained A Physical, Mental or Emotional Injury, Illness or Wound. Vetern Volunteers Assist The Instructors. In Addition to Weekly Sessions, The Veterans Participated In The Yreka Holiday Parade. The Dedication of The Stable Hands Staff and Volunteers Was Rewarded By Remarkable Progress Physically, Mentally and Socially In Program Participants.
