BRIGHT FUTURES BRINGS TOGETHER COMPASSIONATE ADULTS and HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ENJOY MENTORING CHILDREN. WE MATCH THESE MENTORS WITH STUDENTS SEEKING EXTRA GUIDANCE, SUPPORT, and FRIENDSHIP, FOSTERING RELATIONSHIPS WITH POSITIVE ROLE MODELS to EMPOWER YOUTH TOWARDS THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL. OUR OPERATIONS CENTER ON FOUR MAIN GOALS for KIDS, MENTORING, TEACHING, SELF-WORTH, and SOCIAL CONNECTION THROUGH TWO PROGRAMS, AFTER SCHOOL and ONE-TO-ONE. AT AFTER SCHOOL, MENTORS JOIN A DIVERSE GROUP of FIFTH-GRADERS AT THE LIBRARY TWICE A MONTH for FUN, ENRICHING AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES; for 2025, 16 EVENTS WERE HELD WITH 8 HIGH SCHOOL MENTORS, 3 ADULT MENTORS and 20 MENTEES PER EVENT. IN THE ONE-TO-ONE PROGRAM, EACH MENTOR is MATCHED WITH A DESIGNATED STUDENT for THE SCHOOL YEAR. MENTORS JOIN THESE STUDENTS AT THEIR SCHOOLS ONCE A MONTH to SPEND TIME TOGETHER OVER LUNCH; 161 LUNCHES WERE HELD IN 2025.
