THE VARNER UNIT EMPLOYEES CORPORATION WAS ORGANIZED IN PART to PROMOTE GOODWILL AMONG EMPLOYEES and to INCREASE EMPLOYEE MORALE. THESE GOALS WERE to BE MET BY OPERATING VENDING MACHINES for USE BY THE EMPLOYEES. GIVEN THE LOCATION of THE JOB SITE and THE NATURE of THE JOB, THE AVAILABILITY of VENDING MACHINES for THE EMPLOYEES CONTRIBUTED IMPORTANTLY IN INCREASING STAFF MORALE ALSO, THE FUNDS DERIVED FROM THE VENDING MACHINES ALLOWED THE EMPLOYEE CORPORATION to SPONSOR SOCIAL, RECREATION and ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES for ALL EMPLOYEES and THEIR FAMILIES to FUTHER PROMOTE GOODWILL & INCREASE MORALE.
