What they do
In 2009 The Board Voted to Terminate The Agreement With The City of Shreveport to Manage The City Owned Building, Effective July 1, 2009. Management of The Building Included Rental, Maintenance, and Staffing The Building for Events.Since 2009 The Board Has Focused Its Attention Solely to The Maintenance of The Museum Displays and Providing All Volunteer Staffing for Museum Tours.Tour Groups Included Local Elementary and Middle School Students, Local Residents, and Individuals From Around The World. In 2014 The Museum Was Closed During Repairs to The Municipal Auditorium. The Board is In The Process of Reopening The Museum As Soon As An Agreement Can Be Reached Between The City of Shreveport, The Owner of The Auditorium, SMG, The Company Now Operating The Facility and Our Board. Our Expectation is That We Will Come to An Agreement In 2023. In The Meantime The Organization Continues to Hold The Museum Displays In Storage.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
