MID-CITIES SUPPORTERS OF SAFE HAVEN OF TARRANT COUNTY
EIN 75-2072364 · Homeless Shelters (L41)
What they do
MID-CITIES SOS FUNDS PROVIDE SUPPORT for THE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES SHTC PROVIDES to CHILD VICTIMS. SUCH SERVICES INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING, PLAY THERAPY, DAY CARE, EDUCATION, FIELD TRIPS, and RECREATION IN ADDITION to BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING, SHOES, MEDICINE, and PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING INVOLVES DAILY STRUCTURED ACTIVITIES to EXPOSE CHILDREN to OPPORTUNITIES, EXPERIENCES and RELATIONSHIPS THAT LIVING IN A HOME WHICH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HAS NOT AFFORDED. EXAMPLES ARE FIELD TRIPS to MUSEUMS, WATERPARKS, MOVIES, MINIATURE GOLF, ZOOS, SPORTING EVENTS, and OUR OWN BASEBALL CAMP. WITHOUT SERVICES SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for CHILDREN, WE RUN THE RISK of CONTINUING THE GENERATIONAL CYCLE of DOMESTIC ABUSE. CHILDRENS SERVICES REQUIRE SPECIALLY TRAINED STAFF, UNIQUE EQUIPMENT and A COMMITMENT THAT REACHES BEYOND SIMPLE CHILD CARE.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
