The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award - This Programs Mission is to Recognize The Nations College Offensive Player of The Year Who Meets The Awards Criteria and to Encourage Student-athletes to Succeed On and Off The Field While Having The Drive and The Tenacity to Persist and Overcome Adversity and Injury In The Pursuit of Reaching Their Goals. Five Finalists Are Selected From The Nations Outstanding Division I College Offensive Players Who (1) Played Football At and Graduated From A Texas High School, or (2) Played At A Texas-based D1 College. An Annual Banquet is Held In January Following The End of Football Season and The Bowl Games to Announce The Winner of The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. Approximately 400 People Attended The Banquet In The Current Year, Including Two of The Five Award Finalists, Families, Special Guests, Sponsors, and Media. This Event and Award Have Brought Much Visibility to The City of Tyler. This Program Also Provides An Earl Campbell Tyler Rose High School
