SCPs Grant With Californias State Water Resources Control Board Ended On June 30, 2019. The Purpose of The Grant Was to Help Farmers Implement Agricultural Best Management Practices, Including Integrated Pest Management Practices In The Cultivation of Cotton, Alfalfa, and Almonds, and to Reduce The Use of Diazinon and Chlorpyrifos. The Organization Continues to Provide Information About California Cotton and Cotton Production and Answers Questions About The Cleaner Cotton Industry and Cleaner Cotton Fiber Availability. Textile and Apparel Brands Continue to Be Interested In This Product, and SCP Plans to Continue Marketing The Fiber. SCP Was Able to Help The Two Retiring Growers From Windfall Farms Sell Some of Their Stored Colored Cotton Fiber Along With A Small Hand-gin That Had Been Purchased for The Processing of The Colored Cotton. The Organizations Executive Director Participated In Several Webinars On Cotton In California and Participated In Discussions On A Healthy Soils Projec
