What they do

Sixty- One (62) Victims of Violence Were Supported By Program Staff to Meet or Coordinate Their Medical, Psychological, Legal, Housing, Transportation, Economic and Other Needs. This Included The Provision of 636 Psychological Counseling Sessions to 139 Individuals (direct Victims, Children and Other Family Members Who Observed The Violence, Etc). Six (6) School Packages and Eight (8) Food Packages Were Provided to Four (4) Victims In Extreme Poverty Situations While They Were Waiting for Government Assistance. The Staff Provided Workshops for 200 Women At The Matagalpa Casas Maternas On The Identification of Interpersonal Violence, Activities to Increase Self- Esteem and Crafts As Therapeutic (as Well As Economic) Activities. Entrepreneurial Activities Included Providing An Innovative Craft Fair Where 32 Skills to Save Lives Participants Sold Craft Items That They Had Made.
