YORKTOWN ICE HOCKEY CLUB is A 503(C) NON-PROFIT SUPPORTING YORKTOWN HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY CLUB FOSTERING NATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION. PROVIDES AN EXCITING, COMPETITVE, and FUN-FILLED PROGRAM for HIGH SCHOOLERS to EXPERIENCE THE THRILL of ICE HOCKEY. WITH TWO COMPETITIVE TEAMS (VARSITY and JV), YORKTOWN HOCKEY is COMMITTED to ELEVATING EACH PLAYERS GAME BY TEACHING CORRECT TECHNIQUE, GAME INTELLIGENCE, and PLAYER SAFETY. ALL TEAMS ARE CO-ED, and ALL of OUR COACHES ARE USA HOCKEY CERTIFIED and BACKGROUND CHECKED. THE CLUB PRIDES ITSELF ON DEVELOPING PLAYERS THAT VALUE TEAM SUCCESS and PRACITCE EXCEPTIONAL SPORTSMANSHIP. YORKTOWN HOCKEY is A CLUB SPORT and FULLY FUNDED BY THE PLAYERS, THE ARLINGTON OPTIMISTS, and OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. THE TEAM COMPETES IN THE NORTHERN VIRGINIA SCHOLASTIC HOCKEY LEAGUE (NVSHL) and AGAINST FORMIDABLE LOCAL RIVALS, PROVIDING for FUN and EXITING EVENTS for PLAYERS and SPECTATORS ALIKE.
