West End Arts Districts Community Programming Continued to Bring Residents Together Through Accessible, High-quality Cultural Events. The 8th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival Drew Approximately 6,000 Attendees and Featured A Diverse Lineup of Celebrated Artists, Including Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers and MJs Brass Boppers. The Event Fostered Strong Community Engagement, Culminating In A Popular Second-line Procession Along Central Avenue. Complementing This Large-scale Event, WEAD Hosted A Series of Three Intimate "WEAD Salons," Which Provided Smaller Gatherings for Community Members to Connect Directly With Local Artists, Deepen Relationships, and Share Feedback. These Salons Strengthened Community Ties and Expanded Engagement With WEADs Mission.
