THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES PEDIATRIC PATIENT CARE, MEDICAL RESEARCH, TEACHING of PEDIATRIC RESIDENTS and OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, AS WELL AS ADVOCACY for CHILDREN IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THE FRIENDS of KATHI GOERTZEN GUILD is FOCUSED ON FUNDING RESEARCH to FIND A CURE for ALL KINDS of BRAIN TUMORS and CANCER. THE GOAL is to RENDER TODAYS THERAPIES OBSOLETE SO EVENTUALLY TREATING CHILDHOOD CANCER is NO DIFFERENT THAN TREATING ANY EVERYDAY VIRUS. THE GUILD WILL KEEP KATHI GOERTZENS LEGACY ACTIVE AT SEATTLE CHILDRENS WHERE SHE FELT PASSIONATE and VOLUNTEERED SO MUCH of HER TIME.THE FRIENDS of KATHI GOERTZEN GUILD CANCELED ITS AUCTION and DINNER. HOWEVER, THE GUILD CONTINUED to FUNDRAISE for SEATTLE CHILDRENS, FULFILLING THE GUILDS MISSION of SUPPORTING PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH.
