IN FULFILLING THAT MISSION, THE FOUNDATIONS is CURRENTLY WORKING ON THREE CRITICAL PROJECTS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. CREATION of A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE to CONNECT THE MEMORIAL PLAZA to ADA ACCESSIBLE PARKING to MAKE THE MEMORIAL EASILY ACCESSIBLE to ALL CITIZENS. 2. EXPANSION of THE MEMORIAL PLAZA WITH THE ADDITION of A "MEMORIAL BRICK" WALKWAY THAT HONORS ANY U.S. MILITARY VETERAN. 3. EXPANSION of THE MEMORIAL PLAZA WITH THE ADDITION of THE NAMES and STORIES of 26 UNIVERSITY of VIRGINIA STUDENTS WHO SPENT THE MAJORITY of THEIR ADULT LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY BEFORE GIVING THEIR LIVES IN VIETNAM IN SERVICE of THEIR COUNTRY.
