What they do
During 2024, The 369th Experience, Student Band Members, and Band Directors Rehearsed Virtually and In Person to Make Special Appearances In Washington, DC, September 1-4, 2025. The Significance of This Opportunity Cannot Be Overstated. This Was A Once-in-a-lifetime and Nonpartisan Event. Lt. Col. Dwayne S. Milburn (RET), Special Advisor and Guest Conductor, Worked Along With Anthony S. Jones, The 369th Experience Band Director. These Performances Were Sponsored In Part By The Doughboy Foundation. Despite The 2021 Congressional Gold Medal Act That Officially Recognizes The Harlem Hellfighters, Their Story and The Story of Lt. James Reese Europe Remain Largely Unknown to Many Generations. While Select Museums Display The Hellfighters Medals, Universities Archive Their Sheet Music, and Military Institutions Can Document Their Combat Achievements, None of These Organizations Can Fully Capture and Transmit The Groundbreaking Musical Innovations That James Reese Europe and His Band Brought
