DURING THE FIRST FEW MONTHS of 2021, VOLUNTEERS ASSISTED IN CUTTING, TRACING, SEWING and PREPARING KITS for THE NEXT SCHEDULED TRIP, AUGUST 2021. OVER 100 UNSEWN KITS for FUTURE SEWING CLASSES WERE ORGANIZED and FINISHED (SEWN) KITS AS WELL. WE CONTINUED COMMUNICATING WITH THE EXISTING COMMUNITIES WE WORK WITH and PROVIDED THE PATTERN to NEW INDIVIDUALS and GROUPS. IN AUGUST, WE DELIVERED FINISHED KITS and FABRIC (HEMP FLEECE and PUL FABRIC), THREAD, SEWING NEEDLES, VELCRO, BINDER CLIPS, SNAPS and SNAPPING TOOLS, and ADDITIONAL PATTERNS to THE COMMUNITIES WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH IN ZIMBABWE (CHISUMA, SIANYANGA, VICTORIA FALLS, MATOPOS). DUE to THE PANDEMIC, OUR GROUP DELIVERED THE SUPPLIES to INDIVIDUALS FROM EACH COMMUNITY/SCHOOL/GROUP AS SCHOOLS WERE NOT IN SESSION and FOLLOWED THE LOCAL COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS.
