WALLACE BARNETT JR CISM MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

EIN 81-3738865 · Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness & Relief N.E.C. (M99)

What they do

THIS NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION is NAMED AFTER A MAN WHO DEDICATED HIS LIFE to PROTECTING and SERVING THE PUBLIC IN THE FIRE SERVICE, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO SERVED THE HEALTH and WELFARE of ALL FIRST RESPONDERS. IT WAS FORMED to SUPPORT THE ORGANIZED TRAINING and CONTINUING EDUCATION of MEMBERS of THE NEBRASKA CRITICAL INCIDENT STREE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, to ENHANCE THE PROVISION of COMPETENT, EFFECTIVE, EVIDENCE-BASED, and TIMELY SERVICES to NEBRASKAS FIRST RESPONDERS. RESEARCH HAS MADE IT CLEAR THAT MANY FIRST RESPONDERS SACRIFICE A GREAT DEAL for THE PUBLIC GOOD, and IN DOING SO OFTEN EXPERIENCE UNDUE STRESS, TRAUMA, and DISRUPTION of BOTH THEIR PROFESSIONAL and PERSONAL LIVES to THE EXTENT THAT THERE is SERIUOS RISK to THEIR HEALTH and WELFARE, and SUBSEQUENTLY to THE PUBLIC WELFARE. IT is HOPED THAT THE SUPPORT FROM THIS FOUNDATION MAY IN SOME SMALL MEASURE REPAY ALL THAT HAS BEEN SO FREELY GIVEN.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.

Has the pattern changed?

Colored bars = expense mix: how each year’s expenses were divided. Total expenses vs. revenue shows whether the charity spent less or more than it received. The current filing is first.
