Tahoe Backcoutnry Alliance (TBA) is Improving Outdoor Access, Safety, and Equity Across The Tahoe Region Through A Variety of Community Focused Programs. Most Notably for Fiscal 25/24 Are The Following:Ward Canyon - TBA Has Worked Closely With Placer County to Plan The Construction of A New Lot In Ward Canyon. Currently A Disagreement Exists Between Local Homeowners and Members of The Public On The Use of The Lot, Which Has Resulted In People Being Frequently Ticketed During Their Attempts to Access The Backcountry. TBA Has Worked to Provide A Solution That Results In Expanded Public Access, Doubling The Size of The Existing Lot, While Maintaining A Constructive Relationship With Local Homeowners. Surveys for This Project Are In Progress.Mt. Tallac - TBA Has Continued to Develop The Parking Area for The Winter Trail Head At Mt. Tallac. While Currently Unpaved, (a Continued Long-term Goal), The TBA Has Maintained The Parking Lot and Provided Funding for High Blade Plowing Throughout The
