Our Services to Youth Program STEAMwork Makes The Dream Work (SMDW) is An Intentional Opportunity and Pathway for Black Youth to Create The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) Future They Envision. The SMDW Program Utilizes The Pillars of The Links, Incorporated and The National Society of Black Engineers to Focus and Streamline The Mission. Throughout The Program, Students Individuality is Aligned With Mentorship, Career Exploration and Experiences to Put Them On The Trajectory Towards A Lifetime of Success. Our Mission is to Elevate Student Awareness of STEAM Careers and Ensure Students Are Prepared to Study The Requisite Curricula for Those Careers. Our Vision is to Build A Cohort of Students Who Prioritize STEM and Who See Themselves Pursuing and Earning Degrees In STEM Careers. Our Program is Designed to Educate and Expose Black Students to Resources and Provide Opportunities to Apply STEM Knowledge In Their Academic Paths, Connect With Mentors In STEM Field
