Education, As After Standard 7 (ages 12-14), The Entire Education System Switches From Swahili to English. Access to Education Beyond Standard 7 is Dependent Upon A Passing Score On The National Exam, Which Contains A Difficult English Language Section. Many Students Are Unable to Complete Their Education Because They Are Unable to Pass The Exam. Due to These Challenges for The Students, Asali?s Flagship Program is Focused On Increasing Access to High-quality English Education. Our Current English Initiative is Two-fold: Providing An English Club During School Hours and Teacher Training After School. This Year We Are In 13 Schools Providing Instruction and Student Teaching. Asali?s Investment In The English Initiative for This Fiscal Year Totaled $5647.63.
