THE PURPOSE of THE GREAT OUTDOOR CAMPOUT COMMITTEE is to GIVE LOVE and SERVICE for FUN and for FREE. WE PROVIDE AN ANNUAL EVENT to SHOW NEWCOMERS and OLD-TIMERS, THEIR FAMILIES and FRIENDS, THAT WE CAN HAVE FUN IN SOBRIETY! WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, BUT WE DO SUPPORT THE AA PURPOSE IN OUR ENDEAVORS and COOPERATE WITH ITS PRINCIPLES. IN RESPECTING THE AA TRADITIONS, WE DO NOT MAKE GOD CAMPOUT ANNOUNCEMENTS INSIDE of AA MEETINGS. WE MAY ANNOUNCE AA SPEAKER MEETINGS HELD DURING EVENTS, BUT WE DO NOT PROMOTE THE CAMPOUT or ITS ACTIVITIES DURING AN AA MEETING (BEFORE or AFTER THE MEETING is OK)!
