What they do
Educational Programs - As Part of The Back-to-school Initiative to Promote Education Among Vulnerable Families, 250 Children Received A Backpack Full of Supplies and Partial Uniform to Return to Class With The Materials They Needed In February. Ten Students, From Elementary to University Level, Received Monthly Scholarships to Assist Them In Their Educational Journeys. Six Additional Students Received An Education Stipend, Which Was A Designated Amount Used to Cover School Materials Twice During The School Year. In Coordination With Local Volunteers, Free Tutoring Sessions Were Offered to Elementary Students In The Community During The School Year. Pastors Were Trained In Several Christian Community Outreach Trainings. The Community of Buena Vista Was In Need of An Additional Classroom and Second Teacher for Their Overcrowded Schoolroom Filled With 60 Children. VER Built An Additional Class Room and Paid for A Teachers Aid to Assist With Students Who Had Fallen Behind Academically. The
