What they do
The Vision of The St. Francis Dam National Memorial Foundation is to Create A National Memorial At The Site of The St. Francis Dam Disaster Which Properly Honors Its Many Victims. We Will Also Plan to Build A Visitors Center, and Provide A Great Educational Experience About The Disaster to Visitors From All Over The World. We Are In The Process of Working With The U.S. Forest Service and Have Established A St. Francis Dam National Memorial and Monument Collaborative Which Has Had Several Meetings to Discuss The Future of The Memorial Site. We Created A Contest to Encourage Design Concepts for The Site and Have Selected A Design Concept. Due to Various Administrative Hurdles, We Are Currently In A Holding Pattern Until The U.S. Forest Service is Ready to Move Forward. We Have Not Expended Any Funds On The Project But Have Incurred Minimal Costs to Keep The Foundation Active. We Are Looking Forward to Moving Ahead With The Memorial In The Near Future.
