In 2024, Erzule Paul Foundation Successfully Launched The Pilot Phase of Its Healing In Our Language Mental Health Initiative, Providing Culturally Tailored Support to 50 Haitian Creole-speaking Individuals In Miami-Dade County. We Completed 75% of The Objectives Outlined In Our Project Plan, Including Translating 12-step Wellness Literature, Training Peer Facilitators, and Hosting Community-based Support Groups and Wellness Workshops. In Addition, We Secured Over $28,000 In Funding From Donors Including Universal Music Group, The Miami Foundation, Wawa, GoFundMe.org, and TD Charitable Foundation, Along With In-kind Support From Winn-Dixie, Publix, and Target. These Resources Allowed Us to Distribute Food, Hygiene Items, and Gift Cards to Families In Crisis, Host Outreach Events, and Begin Building A Sustainable, Trauma-informed Care Model for Underserved Haitian Communities.
