Maternal Support: In 2023, The Maternal Coalition Continued to Support Families Through The COVID-19 Pandemic. Pregnant People and Recently Birthing People Experienced A Wide Range of Trauma Relating to Birth Rights and Loss of Wages and Jobs. In Addition, We Developed Education Materials and Birth Rights Advocacy Documents Because Birthing People Were Forced to Birth Alone With No Support. We Continued to Expand The Advocacy Program Through Deploying Doulas and Other Support System is to Families In Need. We Implemented Therapeutic Approaches to Healing Birth Trauma, Engaging With Community Members to Provide Holistic Services to Families That Experienced Adverse Birth Outcomes. We Also Hosted Trauma Support Groups Through Various Therapists, Supports and Community Members. We Also Deployed Grants to Trauma Birth Workers to Continue to Work With Community On Trauma Processing.
