SAPPY MOFFITT FIELD FOUNDATION INC Exists to Establish and Maintain A Baseball Field -- "Foundry Field" -- At The Publicly-owned Southeast Park In South Bend, Indiana. A Portion of The Park Originally Designated for A Baseball Facility Was Never Completed and We Are Partnering With Local Government and Community Organizations to Establish A Field for Public Use. The Specific Purposes of The Organization Are To: Build and Maintain A High-quality Baseball Field In An Under-utilized Segment of Southeast Park for The Use of The General Public; Work With Community Organizations to Provide Programming for Local Youth; Make A Unique Cultural and Artistic Contribution Through Field Design and Culturally-rich Public Art; and Preserve, Promote, and Engage Baseballs Cultural Impact In The South Bend Area Through Displays, Design Elements, and Programming At The Field.
