What they do

OUR ULTIMATE MISSION AT THE PORCH is CLEAR and SIMPLE: to RAISE UP MIGHTY SONS of GOD WHO WILL CARRY THE AUTHORITY of THE KINGDOM of HEAVEN, and MAKE JESUS KNOWN IN THE EARTH. WE DESIRE to RAISE UP MEN of GOD WHO WILL LOVE HIS TRUTH WITH ALL THEIR HEARTS; LOVE THEIR WIVES AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH; LEAD THEIR FAMILIES WITH TENDERNESS and STRENGTH; BELIEVE GOD for MORE THAN JUST THE ORDINARY; and BECOME SPIRITUAL FATHERS WHO WILL RAISE UP FUTURE GENERATIONS of MIGHTY SONS and DAUGHTERS. WE DO THIS PRIMARILY BY STEWARDING AN ATMOSPHERE of RESIDENTIAL DISCIPLESHIP THAT is SATURATED WITH THE PRESENCE of GOD. EVERY BIBLE STUDY, EVERY PRAYER MEETING, EVERY WORSHIP GATHERING - EVERY MOMENT WE DO LIFE TOGETHER is A PART of THE GREAT JOURNEY of GETTING to KNOW WHO OUR ABBA FATHER IS, and WHO WE ARE AS HIS CHILDREN. LIVING INTENTIONALLY IN THIS BROTHERHOOD is WHAT ENABLES US to ENCOUNTER GOD IN EVEN THE SMALLEST of THINGS.

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
