In Fiscal Year 2024, The Dance Thing (TDT) Continued Its Mission of Enriching The Fusion Dance Community Through Two Major Programs: 1) Annual Weekend Event: The Dance Things Annual Camping-based Weekend Event Served 150+ Dancers At The Lodge At Cedar Springs. The Event Featured: -Two Dance Spaces, -a Main Hall and Smaller Side Room for Different Music Styles, -A Community-driven Volunteer Program With Over 40% of The Weekends Attendees Working In Various Capacities Over The Weekend to Keep The Event Running Smoothly, -Paid Staff Including DJs, Photographers, and Kitchen Leads, -5 Communal Meals Provided Throughout The Weekend. 2) Weekly Thursday Fusion (WTF): Our Ongoing Weekly Dance Program Focused On: -Regular Social Dances Serving Dancers of All Skill Levels, -Artistic Development for DJs Through Mentorship and Performance Opportunities, -Community Building Through Consistent Gathering Space, -A Membership Program That We Launched In 2024 to Provide Sustainable Funding...
