THE TOWN HAS CONTRACTED WITH C&S ENGINEERING to CONSTRUCT A 2-MILE TRAIL NORTH of THE VILLAGE of CLINTON, and THEY ENTERED INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH NYS DOT WHEREBY THE TOWN PAYS THE CONTRACTOR THEN SENDS THE BILL to NYS DOT THAT THEN REIMBURSES THE TOWN AT 80%. DURING THE LAST HALF of 2025, KIRKLAND TRAILS WORKED WITH C&S ENGINEERING to DELINEATE THE TRAIL ROUTE and to BEGIN THE PROCESS of SECURING THE RIGHT of WAY. THE TRAIL is EXPECTED to BE COMPLETED BY THE END of 2027.
