What they do
The Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering Had A Very Successful Year In 2024. We Were Able to Re-engage 18 Schools In Our Near By District to Teach Poetry and Art Too Their Students. Over 5,200 Students Participated In Our Educational Programs Throughout The Year, and 10 Schools Participated In Our Poetry and Art Contests Providing Education On The Historical West and Our Western Heritage. We Held Poetry and Art Contests In The Schools and Utilized HS Students to Help Judge The Contests. In The Fall, Performers Held Assemblies At The 18 Schools and Taught Harmonica Classes to Over 300 5th Grade Students. Our Evening and Paid Events Were Very Successful As Was The Parade and Outreach Programs to The Community. Our Two Fundraisers Were Successful As Well.
