Friends of Chabad Myanmar Inc. Is, As Our Name Suggests, An Organization Dedicated to Establish and Support Jewish Religious, Educational, and Charitable Activities According to Chabad Principles In The Nation of Myanmar, Currently Being Organized By Rabbi Shneur Zalman Raitport, One of Our Directors. Chabad Activities In Myanmar Are Primarily Geared Toward Tourists or Other Short-term Visitors, Many of Whom Are From The United States. This Corporation Has Been Formed to Use The Goodwill of Those Benefiting From Its Services, As Well As Other Members of The US Jewish Community, to Organize Financial As Well As Other Forms of Support, and In General to Complement The Myanmar-based Activities. Our Underlying Purpose is to Help Spread Awareness and Study of Judaism, and to Facilitate The Practice of Its Precepts, In The Myanmar. Most of Our Goals Will Be Accomplished Through Grant Making.
