San Gorgonio Outdoor Science School SGOSS is A Residential Site That Allow Students From Underserved Areas of So. CA to Attend A Weekly Program Designed to Provide Science Education While Exploring Nature. The School is Located In The San Bernardino Mountains and All Learning is Accomplished While Hiking With Interruptions for Hands On Science Labs Located Along The Trails. Each Week A New Group of Students Arrive With Their Teachers. The Mission of The Organization is to Connect Science to Nature and Build An Understanding of What Students Can Do Now and In The Future to Ensure The Sustainability of Our Planet. During The 22-23 School Year Approximately 3,000 Students Visited Our Site. Based On Teacher and Student Evaluations The Majority of The Students Left With The Understanding That There is A Connection Between Science and Nature. They Also Understood That Choices They Make Environmentally Will Determine The Sustainability of Our Planet.
