What they do

Team Uncle Joe is A Nonprofit Organization Dedicated to Improving The Lives of Individuals With Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) By Providing Accessible, Patient-centered Education, Resources, and Support That Promote Informed Healthcare Decision-making and Self-advocacy. We Equip CHD Patients and Their Families With The Tools They Need to Understand, Navigate, and Manage Their Condition Throughout The Lifespan. Through Free or Low-cost Programs, Including Digital Resources, Peer-informed Educational Content, and Healthcare Navigation Support, We Empower Patients to Become Confident Participants In Their Care. Team Uncle Joe Also Works to Reduce Disparities In Access to CHD Information By Tailoring Resources to Meet The Needs of Underrepresented Communities, Including Individuals With Low Health Literacy or Those Facing Systemic Barriers to Care. Services Are Provided Free Whenever Feasible. When Costs Exceed Our Capacity, We Disclose Them and Charge Only The Actual Expense Incurred.
