THESE WORKSHOPS PROVIDE ATTENDEES THE OPPORTUNITY to EXPLORE THE TRUE MEANING of A SPECIFIC SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL TOPIC and HOW IT RELATES to THEM AS WELL AS THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM. THROUGH OPEN DISCUSSION, STUDENTS LEARN to DEFINE THE TOPIC, RECOGNIZE SIGNS and SYMPTOMS and UNDERSTAND THE BENEFITS of BEING INFORMED FROM A YOUNG AGE. HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES SUCH AS INTERACTIVE GAMES, ART PROJECTS, and GROUP ACTIVITIES ARE THEN USED to IMMERSE STUDENTS IN THE TOPIC and FURTHER THEIR COMPREHENSION of IT.
