YOUTH PROGRAMMING INCLUDES AFTER SCHOOL, SUMMER SCHOOL, and IMPACT ON YOUTH. WE SERVICE APPROXIMATELY 75 - 100 SCHOLARS AT DIFFERENT TIMES DURING THE YEAR. OUR PHILOSOPHY is to TEACH READING, WRITING and PUBLIC SPEAKING THROUGH CULTURALLY REPRESENTATIVE MATERIAL, THE ARTS, and SMALL GROUP or ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS. ATTENDING SCHOLARS IMPROVE THEIR READING LEVELS FROM 1 to 2 GRADE LEVELS and THEIR CONFIDENCE GROWS TREMENDOUSLY.
