Community and Workforce Development: The Building Community (TBC) and Its Executive Director Was Chosen As A 2025 Rural Champion By Kansas Commerces Office of Rural Preservation. Through This Program, TBC Supported The Fredonia Unified School District USD 484, The Fredonia Jr/Sr High School, and Gatekeepers Across The Community to Assess and Prioritize Its Needs for Training and Workforce Development In Response to The 2024 Housing Assessment Results, Which Indicated A Need for Skilled Trades and Construction Labor for Housing Development. TBC Conducted Community Meetings, Helped The JR/Sr High School Expand Its Career Academy Program, and Organized Efforts to Establish A Regional Workforce Development and Recreation Center In Fredonia.
