WE FORMED THE DYSLEXIA TASK FORCE and NOW WORK SHOULDER to SHOULDER WITH THE DISTRICT to BRING EVIDENCE-BASED READING INSTRUCTION to ALL OUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS CHILDREN. WIN 2: WE BUILT A STATE-WIDE GRASSROOTS COALITION, OHIO KIDS IDENTIFIED WITH DYSLEXIA (OH- KID), to ORGANIZE PARENT GROUPS IN OHIO to SECURE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES for ALL OUR CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA. WE HAVE MORE THAN 25 OHIO PARENT GROUP MEMBERS REPRESENTING OVER 185,000 STUDENTS. OH-KID WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN PASSING THE LATEST OHIO DYSLEXIA LEGISLATION and SECURING THE OHIO STATE BOARD of EDUCATIONS APPROVAL of THE OHIO DYSLEXIA GUIDEBOOK. WE HAVE ALSO HELPED CREATE and MENTOR STATEWIDE PARENT GROUPS IN COLORADO (CO-KID) and ILLINOIS (IELC).
