The Thomas Paine Memorial Association is An Educational 501c3 Association Created and Operated Exclusively to Educate The Public About Thomas Paines Legacy Including By Erecting Memorials and Statues In His Honor. TPMA Has Been Authorized By Congress Under H.R. 6720 Which Passed Congress and Was Signed Into Law In December 2022 to Establish A Commemorative Work On Federal Land In The District of Columbia In Honor of The Philosopher and Patriot Thomas Paine. The Association Also Holds An Annual Event On Thomas Paines Birthday Jan. 29 and Participates In Other Celebrations and Events Memorializing Thomas Paine to Keep Alive His Democratic and Egalitarian Vision. In 2023 The Association Met With The National Park Service to Begin The Process of Finding The Site and Signed A Contract In 2023 With A Recommended Consulting Firm to Help Locate Land and Guide The Association Through The Federal Agencies That Must Approve The Location Design and Landscaping.
