What they do

In 2024, Somos Tejas Strengthened Civic Engagement and Local Partnerships Through Coordinated Outreach Across North Texas. The Organization Hosted, Co-hosted, and Partnered With Community Groups to Conduct 10 Canvassing Events, Reaching More Than 10,000 Households With Information About Local Issues, Voting, and Community Resources. These Efforts Created Opportunities for Residents to Connect With Neighborhood Organizations, Learn About Civic Participation, and Engage In Conversations About The Issues Impacting Their Daily Lives. Through This Work, Somos Tejas Fostered Stronger Relationships, Expanded Its Community Presence, and Encouraged Sustained Engagement Among Latino Residents and Allies.
