OUR ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED IN 2020 IN RESPONSE to THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. AS MANY of THE COUNTIES IN PA, OUR COUNTY FAIR WAS CANCELED. MANY of THE KIDS IN THE AREA ALREADY HAD PURCHASED THEIR LIVESTOCK PROJECT ANIMALS for THE FAIR. SO, WE FORMED OUR ASSOCIATION, RAISED THE FUNDS FROM THE HUGE GROUP of LOCAL SUPPORTERS of THE ARMSTRONG COUNTY LIVESTOCK PROGRAM and PUT ON A 4 DAY SHOW THAT CULMINATED WITH A LIVESTOCK SALE THE LAST EVENING and THE KIDS WERE ABLE to TAKE HOME MONEY for THEIR PROJECT JUST LIKE ANY OTHER YEAR. IT WAS A GREAT FEELING of NORMALCY for THEM IN AN OTHERWISE NON-NORMAL YEAR. IT WAS SUCH A SUCCESS OUR PLANS for THE FUTURE ARE to HOLD ADDITIONAL SHOWS for THE COUNTY.
