What they do
IOEA ENGAGES IN YEAR-ROUND YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION EVENTS, PEER and FAMILY SUPPORT CIRCLES, MUTUAL AID EFFORTS, and INTERNAL CAPACITY BUILDING. YOUTH COHORTS FOCUS ON ADVOCACY, CULTURAL IDENTITY, and PUBLIC SPEAKING, LED BY STAFF and VOLUNTEERS ON and AROUND THE SOUTHERN UTE INDIAN RESERVATION. EDUCATIONAL EVENTS LIKE PANELS and TRAININGS ARE HELD IN-PERSON and ONLINE to RAISE AWARENESS of TWO-SPIRIT and LGBTQIA ISSUES. SUPPORT CIRCLES OFFER SAFE SPACES for YOUTH and FAMILIES, WHILE MUTUAL AID PROVIDES ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES and REFERRALS. THESE ACTIVITIES ARE PRIMARILY FUNDED BY DONATIONS, GRANTS, and COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIPS. ALL EFFORTS ADVANCE IOEAS MISSION BY PROMOTING LEADERSHIP, HEALTH, EQUITY, and CULTURAL WELLNESS IN HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.

Should I give to this charity?
Of every $100 spent, about $23.00 was reported for mission work and $0.00 for fundraising. Understand this before you give.
Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
