THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of THE CORPORATION is to OPERATE and MAINTAIN A FIRE PROTECTION UNIT to PREVENT and SUPPRESS FIRES, PERFORM RESCUE and DISASTER PREPAREDNESS and RESPONSE IN THE OAK BOWERY FIRE COVERAGE AREA, AS DEFINED BY THE CHAMBERS COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT COVERAGE MAP, AS AMENDED FROM TIME to TIME. IN ADDITION, THE CORPORATION WILL, AS NEEDED, PROVIDE SUPPORT to OTHER FIRE DEPARTMENTS THROUGH MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS, ADMINISTER FIRST AID, PROMOTE SAFETY, and OPERATE AS AN AUXILIARY CIVIL DEFENSE ORGANIZATION IN SUPPORT and AID of LOCAL, STATE and NATIONAL CIVIL DEFENSE ORGANIZATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE CODE of ALABAMA, 1975 AS AMENDED, TITLE 31, CHAPTER 9, SECTION 10 (75).
