Read Together ATL Provided One-on-one Sight Word and Reading Tutoring to 30 Third Fourth and Fifth Grade Students At Agape Youth & Family Center City School Atlanta and William Boyd Elementary School for The 2024-2025 School Year Utilizing 40 Volunteers to Serve These Children. In This Program Students Attend Two Half-hour Sessions Per Week With The Same Tutors Averaging 14 Sessions Per Semester During The 2024-2025 School Year. This Amounts to 14 Total Hours of One-on-one Tutoring Between The Months of September and April With Some Students Receiving As Many As 16 Hours of Tutoring Depending On Their Attendance Record. Read Together ATL Assesses Each Student In September to Gauge Their Sight Word Understanding and Again In May to Measure Their Progress. The Average Amount of Words Gained Was 343 Among All Students. These Scores Reveal That Every Student In The Program Progressed Greatly In Their Vocabulary Understanding.
