A Different Outcome Was Able to Distribute Laptops to At Risk Youths Through Out New York State and Maryland. We Provide Each Student With The Equipment and Training to Thrive In An Increasingly Digital World Including:Brand-new Laptop Computer, Access to Broadband Internet, Personal Tutoring, and One-on-one Mentoring. Mental and Emotional Wellness: ADO Begins The Process of Reducing The Stigma Around Mental Health Issues In The African American Community. We Provide A Forum for Discussing Feelings and Concerns Associated With Current Events ( Racism, Civil Unrest, Etc.). We Teach Participants Coping Strategies to Deal With Bullying (online and Physical) and Identity Issues. We Utilize A Custom Designed Curriculum Focused On Building Self-esteem and Confidence. Financial Literacy: We Teach Our Mentees The Importance of Saving and Investing and How to Use The Tools of Compound Interest and Passive Income to Increase Their Money and to Build Long Term Wealth.
