IT ALSO INCLUDED A VARIETY of TRADE ASSOCIATIONS and VENDORS INVOLVED IN AUTOMOTIVE, HOME, FINANCE and OTHER INSURANCE RELATED CONSUMER PRODUCTS. NIC MEMBERS INSURED MORE THAN 80% of AUTOMOBILES and HOMES IN NEVADA. THE TRADES EFFORTS OVER THE YEARS HAVE FOCUSED ON AUTO THEFT, INSURANCE FRAUD, FLOOD, WILDFIRE AWARENESS, UNINSURED MOTORISTS and DISASTERS AFFECTING CONSUMERS. IN ADDITION, NIC CONDUCTED PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORTS, PRIMARILY IN SOUTHERN NEVADA. GOING FORWARD THE TRADE WILL CONTINUE ITS PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORTS BUT ALSO FOCUS ON LEGISLATIVE and REGULATORY ADVOCACY ON BEHALF of ITS MEMBERSHIP.
