What they do

This Past Summer, Hatch Successfully Completed Several Workshops In The Community. Hatch Returned to The Northwest Library for Design-build Summer Programming for Both K-6th Graders and Teenagers. The K-6th Program Was One Week Where Students Completed Several Hands-on Design-build Activities. The Final Project Was Constructing Bird Feeders From Start to Finish. Students Chose A Design, Assembled The Materials, and Painted The Bird Feeder. The Teen Design-build Workshop Was A Two Week Workshop In Which The Students Designed and Created Several Items to Benefit The NW Library. This Includes Ring Toss Games, Cornhole Boards, Chess/checkers Board, Mobile Book Carts for The Librarians, and A Double Sided Mobile White Board. The Teen Workshop Concluded With A Field Trip to Frank Lloyd Wrights Wescott House. Additionally, Hatch Partnered With The City of Dayton Recreation Centers, Abundant Life Churchs Summer Programming, The Wescott Center, and The Scholars of H.O.P.E. After School Program
