HTEI is COMMITTED to CREATING and SUPPORTING A COMMUNITY THAT FOSTERS A SENSE of BELONGING, WHERE ALL HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED MEMBERS FEEL SEEN, HEARD, RESPECTED, and CELEBRATED. HTEIS APPROACH is to SERVE AS AN ADVOCATE, PROVIDE RESOURCES, MAKE CONNECTIONS, and IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS to PROVIDE INFORMATION to INDIVIDUALS and GROUPS REGARDING COMMUNITY ISSUES to ENABLE THEM to INITIATE CHANGE. IN 2023-24, HTEI FOCUSED ON COLLABORATION and CELEBRATION ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT of ANTI-RACISM and ANTI-SEXISM CAUSES, IN SUPPORT of LGBTQIA+ FAMILY and INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS, and BUILDING CONNECTION AMONGST CULTURES and IDENTITIES IN THE REGION.
