At Hoomalu Ke Kai, We Are Deeply Committed to The Preservation and Rejuvenation of Our Precious Marine Ecosystems. Through Our Marine Ecosystem Conservation & Restoration Program, We Implement A Multifaceted Approach Aimed At Addressing The Challenges Facing Our Oceans. First, In Collaboration With The Division of Aquatic Resources, Kauai, We Conduct Vital Coral Reef Survey Work to Assess The Health and Condition of Our Underwater Ecosystems. Our Efforts Involve Training Local Youth Interested In Marine Biology In Scuba Diving and Marine Research Techniques. Through This Training, We Prepare These Individuals to Contribute to The Association of American Underwater Scientists (AAUS) Program With DAR. Conducting Underwater Fish and Habitat Use Surveys, As Well As Coral Reef Surveys to Collect Crucial Baseline and Longterm Data Helps to Support Future Restoration Programs and Conservation Efforts.
