AS A RESULT of THESE EFFORTS to PROMOTE CAMARADERIE, WE HAVE DISCOVERED THAT WHILE ALMOST ALL of OUR ATHLETES FIRST TRIP to THE GAMES WAS PROMPTED BY COMPETITION, 44% of OUR PARTICIPANTS LIST SOCIAL ASPECTS SUCH AS "MEETING NEW FRIENDS- and "RENEWING ACQUAINTANCES" AS THEIR PRIMARY REASON for ATTENDING THE GAMES. THE AVERAGE RETURN RATE of OUR PARTICIPANTS is 75% THE GAMES HAVE BECOME MUCH MORE THAN A SPORTING EVENT - THEY ARE TRULY A CELEBRATION of LIFE AFTER 50 to HELP ATTAIN THE GOAL of FOSTERING HEALTH, THE WORLD SENIOR GAMES PROVIDES A HEALTH SCREENING PROGRAM for OUR ATHLETES. WE OFFER FREE SCREENINGS for PSA, BLOOD PRESSURE, BLOOD SUGAR, BODY COMPOSITION, RESTING HEART RATE, BALANCE and EQUILIBRIUM, HEARING, CHOLESTEROL, VISUAL ACUITY, GLAUCOMA and CAROTID ARTERY and MORE. ATHLETES ARE ENCOURAGED to TAKE ADVANTAGE of ALL THESE SCREENINGS WHILE T
