HOLIDAY & DECORATIVE ASSOCIATION
EIN 87-0523886
What they do
to ACT AS THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION for IMPORTERS, MANUFACTURERS, WHOLESALERS and OTHERS INVOLVED IN THE PERMANENT BOTANICAL HOLIDAY and DECORATIVE ACCESSORIES INDUSTRY. THE ASSOCIATION WAS UNABLE to CONDUCT MARKETING EVENTS IN JUNE 2019 DUE to LACK of FUNDS. INSTEAD of ITS MAJOR EVENT, THE HOLIDAY EXPO, THE BOARD DECIDED to UTILIZE THE BUDGETS for SEVERAL MARKETING PROMOTIONS IN JANUARY 2019. THESE INCLUDED A 500 CASH GIVEAWAY for 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS. 21 HDA MEMBER SHOWROOMS PARTICPATED and THERE WERE 1,000 SHOWROOM VISITORS WHO SUBMITTED ENTRIES. INCREASED ADVERTISING IN PUBLICATIONS and ANIMATED VIDEO BOARDS IN THE ELEVATOR WELLS of THE WORLD TRADE CENTER ALLOWED THE HDA to REACH 10,000 to 15,000 POTENTIAL BUYERS.
Should I give to this charity?
Of every $100 spent, about $44.00 was reported for mission work. Use the spending picture below and ask what results that work produced.
Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
Financial picture
A plain-language look at the latest Form 990 figures available. These numbers help you ask better questions; they do not, by themselves, rate whether a charity is good or bad.
How each $100 of revenue was used
The large number compares each expense with revenue. The smaller number shows its share of total expenses.
Expenses were greater than revenue, so the colored ring fills the available $100 and the total above 100% is shown below.
