THIS PARTNERSHIP INCLUDES A 4-5 WEEK SUMMER SCOPE CURRICULA, PROFESSIONAL LEARNING for TEACHERS and LEADERS, and OPERATIONAL SUPPORT. THE CURRICULA FOCUS ON POWER STANDARDS FROM THE GRADE LEVEL PRIOR to PREVENT LEARNING LOSS and ACCELERATE STUDENT LEARNING. NSSI FOCUSES ON TEACHER TRAINING. TEACHERS ATTEND A THREE-DAY PRE-SERVICE TRAINING FOLLOWED BY ONGOING WEEKLY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS WITH THEIR MENTORS. NSSI ALSO PROVIDES SPECIALIZED TRAINING for SCHOOL LEADERS and INSTRUCTIONAL COACHES and ONGOING LEADER DEVELOPMENT. TEACHERS and LEADERS LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER IN A COHORT-BASED MODEL, SHARPENING THEIR SKILLS and PRACTICING NEW STRATEGIES to SUPPORT THEIR STUDENTS.
